Hi, I’m Adrian Farrell and I’ve spent over 20 years researching, teaching and refining this change management framework to help in understanding the processes required for successful decision making and change initiatives.
A 2013 study by professional services company Towers Watson has found that only 25% of change management initiatives are successful over the long term. This is not a new revelation as many other studies support these findings.
I eventually realised that while humans communicate to organize themselves into a complex society, all living cells communicate in order to organize for a specific task or to function as multicellular organisms. And just as communication difficulties in human societies can lead to breakdown, communication errors in multicellular organisms can lead to diseases such as cancer.
Thus the origins of this framework go back some 600 million years and therefore is based on the wisdom of nature. As Albert Einstein once said, “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better’’.
